I honestly cannot love this more! "Am I honoring who I was...or who I'm becoming?" Putting this on my mirror so I see it every day! Thank you for expressing this so beautifully!

Wow, thank you so much, Ellen. Knowing that line made it to your mirror means more than I can say. That question has been a quiet compass for me, too — a gentle reminder that becoming takes courage, and we’re allowed to choose differently, again and again.

Eternal blossom - holding on to the past is what we are used to do, but as you said, it is not the only option, we can allow change.

“Eternal blossom” — what a beautiful way to put it. Yes, holding on can feel familiar, but it’s not the only way forward. Thank you for this reminder that change is always an option — and sometimes the most compassionate one.

This is beautiful, and so relatable Sara. That challenge of being all the things to all the other people and there is almost nothing left for you. I feel this too. As a mother but also as a daughter before that. Thanks for sharing ❤️

Thank you so much for this — I feel that deeply. It’s such a heavy thing, carrying everyone else’s needs while leaving almost nothing for yourself. Being a daughter, then a mother, then everything in between… it’s a lot. Sending you love as you keep making space for you, too.

I am a woman who lives for words, but this is so emotionally resonant that I can barely speak.

That means the world to me, Rachel — especially coming from someone who lives for words. Thank you for feeling this with me. Sometimes the deepest truths leave us quiet, and that silence holds so much power.

YES!!!! And pivot. Don't be afraid to pivot. It's ok. Do you. I am living the as best I can in this broken body and what whatever else is 💔. Today's a day of grieving my life.

I cried so much today. Let it out.

It's ok. Nobody knows what you feel but you & God. Feel. Grow. Love. Love. Be you first.

This moved me deeply. Thank you for sharing this, truly.

Grief and growth often walk hand in hand — and it takes so much courage to keep choosing yourself through it all.

Letting it out is sacred. Feeling it fully is strength, not weakness.

I’m holding space for you today. You are seen. You are not alone.

You're a very smart Woman ♀️. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise ever !! I'm 59 & only realizing my own self love, self power, forgicevess to self, & others too

in my 50's. It's crazy right? I didn't value myself like I do now. I validate my own feelings now. I don't search for others to fill me up. It's a bonus when you see that though. It's really nice to be validated, understood & respected. But, it can come or not so we must rely on our Spirit in our bodies, our vehicle on this wild journey to validate our feelings.

I talk to God too ... 😀 That's a very peaceful place.

Thank you for sharing this — what a journey. There’s something so powerful about reaching a place where you no longer outsource your worth. Validating your own feelings, owning your spirit, and giving yourself love first… that’s sacred. I’m so inspired by your voice and your wisdom. And yes — talking to God is the most peaceful place to land.

It's so incredible to talk with you. I've been shut out of this for so long on Fakebook. I had to get out of there. Hot mess full of fake accounts and a lot of fraud. SICKENING unhealthy EMOTIONALLY and physically even. So glad I'm here on Substack with you & other wonderful human beings!!! I just published another story if you're interested. I write about MAGA being a Cult. My husband was MAGA for 8 years. I fight him constantly until one day last year he awoke. I got him to think more clearly & vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Miraculous breakthrough!! I've written about him, MAGA NUTS CULT, and talking to MAGA loyalists a lot in Messenger. My experiences doing just that is part of my story here.

3 written so far and it's very fulfilling to express myself without being ignored constantly by Fake people on fake sites. 😂

Done with it. ✔️ Time to grow.

You’ve been through so much, Ancilee — thank you for trusting this space with your story. It takes a lot of courage to walk away from what no longer serves you and keep showing up with that kind of honesty and heart. I’m really glad Substack has been a more grounding place for you. Keep writing, keep healing — you’re not alone here.

Amazing piece Sara, you've captured a dynamic where we can find ourselves holding on to who we used to be as opposed to who we wish to become. It's a kind of limbo that nobody talks about and is one that we can live with until a major shift in our lives occurs, kind of like a signal that it is time to change. Such an important message here.

Malick, thank you so much for this thoughtful reflection. That “limbo” you described — it’s such a quiet, often unnoticed space, but so many of us live there longer than we realize. You put it into words so powerfully. Grateful we’re able to have these kinds of conversations here.
